Past Projects

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund

In the aftermath of the earthquake, President Barack Obama asked President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush to raise funds for immediate, high-impact relief and long-term recovery efforts to help those who are most in need of assistance. In response, the two Presidents established the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (CBHF) to respond to unmet needs in the country, foster economic opportunity, improve the quality of life over the long term for those affected, and assist the people of Haiti as they rebuild their lives and "build back better."

Red Light Children

The Red Light Children campaign seeks to generate conscious concern and inspire immediate action against child sexploitation. It is a worldwide grassroots initiative whose mission is to reduce the number of children sold to the sex industry and exploited on the internet.

Girls Educational and Mentoring Services' (GEMS ) mission is to empower young women, ages 12-21, who have experienced sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking to exit the commercial sex industry and develop to their full potential. GEMS is committed to ending commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking of children by changing individual lives, transforming public perception, and revolutionizing the systems and policies that impact sexually exploited youth.

Edeyo (Eh-day-yo) Help Them

Edeyo is an independent organization dedicated to improving the future of children in Haiti by rebuilding dilapidated schools, supplying students with learning materials and providing them with nutritional support. Edeyo has built a school in the impoverished Bel Air section of Port Au Prince.

On April 22, 2008, Living Measure held a mixer benefiting Edeyo. The mixer raised enough money to pay the salaries of the teachers at Edeyo's school for ten months.

Malaria No More's mission is simple: to end deaths due to malaria. The world has known how to beat this disease for more than a century, yet it remains the number one killer of children under five in sub-Saharan Africa, claiming more than 1 million lives a year. Adding to the tragedy is the fact that malaria is preventable and treatable. Proven items like a $10 insecticide-treated bed net will protect a mother and child from the mosquito bites that transmit the disease. This means that an individual can have a direct impact in the life of someone vulnerable to malaria. All it takes is $10 to buy a bed net and save a life. Malaria No More engages individuals, organizations, and corporations in the private sector to provide lifesaving bed nets and other critical interventions to families in need. Together these investments will significantly reduce malaria infections and make malaria-related deaths a thing of the past.

On October 4, 2007, Living Measure held a mixer benefiting Malaria No More. The mixer raised enough money to save over 500 lives.
